Fulfilled in Jesus Christ

Wait for God

Waiting is not an easy thing, and our fast food culture doesn't make it easy. How's waiting good for us? Dr. Charles Stanley told us his story when his mother taught him to plant a little garden. They planted the seeds, watered, then waited. But after two days, Dr. Stanley saw there was nothing changed then he went to the garden and dug it out. Then he got the first lesson of waiting from his mother. Becasue you plant seeds, you have to give it time to grow. And the truth is it is one of the most important biblical principles in the entire world of God.

The mistake idea that lots of people have is waiting means doing nothing. That's not ture at all. Waiting basically means I remain my position until I get the further instruction, it means I'm willing to wait until He gives me the direction. It is a purpose of waiting.

The reason God wants us to wait is sometimes, God needs time to get our circumstances lined up so that what He and I agreed on will take place. And also He needs time to change our wrong attitude, shift things in our life that doesn't belong to us. It is a matter of giving God time to get us ready to show us His will. Sometimes we need to be quiet, let God just do His things, then He will give you instructions, He will give you directions, He will enable you, He will equip you for the battle that you need. Since He knows everything about the future, so we have to wait for His signal, this is the time to move. When we wait for Him, we submit ourselves to His time schedule, then He makes His awesome promise, acts on our behalf.

Then what is required of us to that? First of all, we have to trust Him. If we don't trust Him, we won't trust His schdeule, we won't trust His timing, we won't trust His purpose, we won't trust His ways, then we will step ahead of Him. Second is patience. Faith and patience go hand on hand. Patience isn't doing nothing, patience is the capacity to wait. Not to react, not to move ahead until God gives further direction and guidence. The third, of course it takes courage. When sometimes it looks everything that demands you move right now, all the voices you hear say move on, do it now, do not wait, you may lose your opportunity. It takes courage to be quiet and to wait upon Him.

Waiting on God, trust in Him is one of the most awesome principles in scriptures and He will bless us every time you wait on Him.

Peace from God

If you want to experience the peace from God, you have to have a very strong relationship with Him. This relationship comes from the time you spend with God, reading His words, speaking and listening to Him, all these help you to build that relationship with Him. For everyday, we are busy with work, we meet lots of people, we hear different voices, we have to handle different situations, but if we can spend sometime in the moring with God, read whatever He leads us to read, pray on our knees in a quiet place just like what Jesus did, then He will give us directions, focuses, strength and peace. If you want the peace for all day long, you should begin with the peacemaker.

Does that mean we won't have any problem then? Certainly not. It means either with or without problems, in the middle or avoiding them, there is an awesome peace from God that makes us possible to have a joyful heart in any circumstance.

Then how do we maintain a sense of peace and spiritual balance when trails strike? The answer is found in a close, abiding relationship with Jesus Christ.  An unshakable peace is available to all who turn the eyes of their hearts to Jesus. Chances are that when adversity strikes, one of the first things we do is to wonder why. Then we may question what kind of impact it will have on our lives. These questions are normal, but we also need another response, and that is to turn to the One who holds all comfort and security firmly within His grasp. No one, outside of God, is equipped to handle our problems. He never meant for us to be strong on our own. He wants us to find courage and hope and strength in Him and His Words. Apart from Him, what we will have is just anxiety which is the opposite of peace.

Paul admonishes us: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds through Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:6, 7).

God knows all our feelings. He knows who wounds us, He knows the hurt we have experienced, He knows what we need in what time, He knows our right way for the future, He knows what's the best for us......only what we should do is turning to Him, keeping an intimate relationship with Him, then the peace from Him will be given to us as a gift and also we will find mercy and grace, forgiveness and hope, strength and everlasting security.

The 30 Life Principles

Principle #1
Our intimacy with God – His highest priority for our lives – determines the impact of our lives.

Principle #2
Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him.

Principle #3
God’s Word is an immovable anchor in times of storm.

Principle #4
The awareness of God’s presence energizes us for our work.

Principle #5
God does not require us to understand His will, just obey it, even if it seems unreasonable.

Principle #6
You reap what you sow, more than you sow, and later than you sow.

Principle #7
The dark moments of our life will last only so long as is necessary for God to accomplish His purpose in us.

Principle #8
Fight all your battles on your knees and you win every time.

Principle #9
Trusting God means looking beyond what we can see to what God sees.

Principle #10
If necessary, God will move heaven and earth to show us His will.

Principle #11
God assumes full responsibility for our needs when we obey Him.

Principle #12
Peace with God is the fruit of oneness with God.

Principle #13
Listening to God is essential to walking with God.

Principle #14
God acts on behalf of those who wait for Him.

Principle #15
Brokenness is God’s requirement for maximum usefulness.

Principle #16
Whatever you acquire outside of God’s will eventually turns to ashes.

Principle #17
We stand tallest and strongest on our knees.

Principle #18
As children of a sovereign God, we are never victims of our circumstances.

Principle #19
Anything you hold too tightly, you will lose.

Principle #20
Disappointments are inevitable, discouragement is a choice.

Principle #21
Obedience always brings blessing.

Principle #22
To walk in the Spirit is to obey the initial promptings of the Spirit.

Principle #23
You can never out give God.

Principle #24
To live the Christian life is to allow Jesus to live His life in and through us.

Principle #25
God blesses us so that we might bless others.

Principle #26
Adversity is a bridge to a deeper relationship with God.

Principle #27
Prayer is life’s greatest time saver.

Principle #28
No Christian has ever been called to “go it alone” in his or her walk of faith.

Principle #29
We learn more in our valley experiences than on our mountaintops.

Principle #30
An eager anticipation of the Lord’s return keeps us living productively.

Cast All the Cares on God

The psalmist wrote, "Be still, and know that I am God" (46:10). Paul exhorted the Philippians to "be anxious for nothing" (Phil. 4:6). And Peter instructed his readers to cast all their cares on God (1 Peter 5:7).

How can someone stop worrying and be "still"? Only through prayer and trust in the loving God (Phil. 4:6-7). Those who cast their cares on Him can set aside the noise and confusion, ambitions and strivings, and enter into the peace of God (v.7).

This doesn’t mean that those who are "still" before the Lord will escape life’s dangers and dilemmas, but it does mean they will have the ability to live with tranquility in the midst of them. Though trouble may remain, the confusion, apprehension, and despair begin to fade away. Such people show poise under pressure; they’re unshaken by life’s alarms; they radiate peace wherever they go.

If you’ve never acquainted yourself with the depths of God’s love and His call for you to live in that love, your life will be filled with anxiety and cares. You’ll often be fretful and restless—always looking for that illusive "something more."

When you learn to turn your confidence toward God and cast your cares on Him, you can be calm in the midst of life’s demands.

LOVE

On this the day when we express
Undying love and faithfulness,
Let’s not forget that God above
Gave us His Son in perfect love.  —Hess

The more we understand God’s love for us, the more love we’ll show to others.

Happy Valentine!!!
